First time visiting WDJ — what are the must-try dine-in or takeout signature items?
Man Fen Braised Pork Rice: The #1 must-try! Rich braising sauce and golden skin-on braised pork poured over steaming hot rice — melts in your mouth with deep, rich aroma. WDJ's most classic local favorite.
Premium Pork Shank: A favorite among food lovers! Firm, juicy meat with a perfectly balanced lean-to-fat ratio — the lean meat stays tender, the fat is soft without being greasy. Deeply satisfying.
Signature Pork Knuckle: Our store's treasure, passed down for 45 years! Made from carefully selected premium Taiwanese pork, slow-braised in our secret aged sauce for springy skin and tender meat, rich in collagen. (Note: Sanchong location sells the middle cut and trotter; Taipei location sells bone-in pork knuckle.)
Traditional Pickled Mustard Greens & Bamboo Shoots: Soaked in our signature braising sauce, crisp and tangy — the essential palate-cleansing pairing for braised pork rice, pork shank, and pork knuckle.
Do the products use lard? Can vegetarians eat them?
In-store products and frozen gift boxes: All items (including braised pork rice, pork shank, pork knuckle, and in-store/frozen bamboo shoots) are made using traditional methods with real lard — no vegetarian products are offered.
Shelf-stable meal kits: Meat-based kits use lard; please note that the "shelf-stable pickled mustard greens & bamboo shoots" kit is fully vegan — vegetarian customers can enjoy this shelf-stable kit with confidence!
Can I buy the frozen gift boxes or shelf-stable meal kits in physical stores?
Yes! Besides ordering online for home delivery, our physical stores also carry frozen gift boxes and shelf-stable meal kits in stock.
Whether you want to stock up for home, or need to pick up a gift box in person for a holiday, you can shop for ready stock directly at any of our stores — very convenient!
Do you offer bento box sets? Good for office workers or group orders?
All stores offer braised pork rice bento, pork shank bento, and pork knuckle bento, each with generous sides for a satisfying meal.
Great for office lunches, meeting catering, or group takeout. For large bento orders, we recommend calling your preferred store ahead of time so we can prepare in advance.
Storage & Heating
Does the in-store taste match the frozen / shelf-stable kits sold online?
Exactly the same! Our online meal kits and frozen gift boxes recreate the same 45-year-old classic braising recipe served in our stores.
The frozen kits use flash-freezing to lock in moisture, while the shelf-stable kits use high-temperature, high-pressure sterilization — so once heated at home, you get the same tender, springy taste as eating in-store!
How do I heat these up at home? Are frozen and shelf-stable kits heated the same way?
Frozen and shelf-stable kits are heated differently — please see below:
Heating frozen kits: Be sure to fully thaw first (refrigerate overnight or thaw under running water), then heat thoroughly before eating.
- Rice cooker steaming: Empty the pouch into a bowl, add about 1 cup of water to the outer pot, and steam until hot.
- Water bath: Place the sealed pouch in boiling water and heat on medium-low for about 10-15 minutes until fully heated through.
- Microwave: Empty the pouch into a microwave-safe container, cover, and microwave for about 3-5 minutes.
Heating shelf-stable kits: No thawing needed — heats up even faster!
- Water bath: No need to open the pouch — place it directly in boiling water and heat for about 3-5 minutes.
- Rice cooker: No need to open the pouch — place on a steaming rack and steam for about 10-15 minutes.
- Microwave: Never microwave the pouch directly! Tear it open, pour the contents into a microwave-safe container, and heat for about 2 minutes.
How long can the frozen gift boxes and shelf-stable kits be stored?
Frozen gift boxes: Must be stored in the freezer.
Shelf-stable kits: Can be stored at room temperature in a cool, dry place — no freezer space needed.
Please note: both frozen and shelf-stable products have a clearly marked expiration date on the packaging. Please check the date before enjoying and consume within the best-by period!

How long after placing an online order will I receive it?
Typically, orders are delivered within 2-3 business days of completing payment on our website via home delivery.
During peak shipping periods (Mid-Autumn Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Lunar New Year), logistics may be busier than usual — we recommend ordering early to ensure timely delivery.
